Doug Belam
Doug was a radio presenter and programme producer for Edinburgh Hospital Broadcasting Service from 1971 until 1980. He was also part of the original staff of Radio Forth (now Forth 1 and Forth 2), Edinburgh's first local radio station, when the station went "On Air" in January 1975. He did the occasional mobile Disco in the mid 70s in pubs and parties.
He moved from Scotland to Stony Stratford in 1980 and worked in London for the Reuters News Agency before returning to local IT support work in Milton Keynes. He is now retired and enjoys time with his family and grandchildren.
Now known to his family as Grandad Doug, he brings you the "Songs of the 70s" on Thursday afternoon's from 3pm till 5pm.
